Off-road Modified Ford Bronco Black Diamond Sas with Bestop eTop Power Top
One of the most distinct features of the 6th Gen Bronco, except for the impressive off-road capabilities, is certainly the ability to drop the top down and enjoy driving on a whole different sensual level. While we have featured lots of modified Bronco off-road builds equipped with various suspension lifts and large 37-40″ wheel setups, the rig we’re showcasing today has one more, less common upgrade that takes it up a notch in terms of convenience and practicality.
As the title suggests, I am talking about the Bestop eTop power top which takes all the hassle of removing the top and getting it back on. But, of course, this power top isn’t the reason why we chose Ryan Ong’s Bronco for a feature. The real reason is that all the modifications are done on a serious level – be it suspension, wheels, exterior or interior, the depth and quality of the upgrades are truly remarkable.
Key Modifications:
- Bestop eTop
- Fully reworked suspension with King Coilovers
- ADD front and rear bumpers

ToggleBestop eTop Power Top
If you ever had to deal with removing a soft top from your Wrangler or a Bronco, you know for sure what I am talking about. While it is manageable and isn’t too complex, it takes valuable time and energy that could be spent elsewhere.
That’s why when people drive 4x4s with removable tops, they often choose to just keep the top in whatever position it is right now.

Even though due to the enormous roof of the 5-door Bronco, the eTop can’t completely hide away into the trunk like it’s a Miata Roadster, the fact that the whole process is done automatically in a matter of seconds is pure luxury for a 4×4 like this.
Off-Road Mods

Speaking of 4x4s. What makes them special is certainly a different category of mods like the suspension and wheels, and boy, does this Bronco have something to show off here.
Suspension & Lift
The suspension features King 2.5 coilovers, Camburg billet upper control arms, RCV ultimate axles, IVD suspension tie rods, TX Bronco booster bushing kit and Brokn Innovation differential drop kit.
Wheels & Tires
The new suspension setup allowed swapping factory 35-in tires with beefy 37-in Nitto Trail Grappler 37×12.5 R17 tires wrapped around KMC Grenade beadlock wheels sized 17×8.5 with 0 offset.

Exterior
As far as the exterior goes, you can spot lots of distinct custom touches. Up on the front end of this Bronco, you’ll notice an ADV fiberglass Ram Air hood which flows into a custom design RTR grille and gives this 6G Bronco even more character. Down below is the Addictive Desert Designs Pro low profile front bumper which has a matching ADD Rock Fighter bumper mounted on the back.
Lights
The illumination has been also brought to a whole other level with a set of Morimoto XB LED headlights and taillights, as well as a full Baja Designs trail light kit which consists of the 8XL linkable roof light bar mounted on the windshield, hood-mount LP4 ditch lights, and a set of 3 LP9 bumper-mount driving lights.
Interior
The interior hasn’t been left untouched either. Ryan has completely overhauled the sound system with numerous Focal components that among else include 3-way speakers, Bomba BP20 subwoofer and Impulse amplifier.
Performance
Car enthusiasts know that good sound isn’t always about the audio system, but rather the engine sound and exhaust. To improve the melody in this department and gain a couple of extra horsepower, Ryan has installed an aFe Momentum GT cold air intake and AWE Tuning OFG catback exhaust with dual black diamond tips.

Owner’s Insight
How did you get into off-roading and why it attracted you?
– I got into off-roading because I’ve always loved exploring places most people never get to see. The mix of adventure, challenge, and freedom pulled me in. Once I experienced the trails for the first time, I was hooked.
Why did you choose a Bronco for your project and was it your first off-road build?
– I chose the Bronco because it offered the perfect mix of heritage, capability, and modern features. My first build was an Isuzu D-Max pickup, and I did some solid upgrades on it. But with the Bronco, I decided to go all in. This was the build where I committed to serious, trail-ready mods.
What was the most difficult part of the build?
– The most difficult part of the build was balancing all the major upgrades and making sure everything worked together. Once I committed to serious mods, it required a lot of planning, research, and patience to get it all dialed in

Your favorite, and/or the most impactful mod?
– My favorite and most impactful mods are the Bestop convertible eTop and the upgraded Focal competition audio system. The eTop is something you rarely see on a rig. Having an automatic convertible setup adds a whole new level of freedom. And inside, the Focal system delivers outstanding sound quality, bringing the cabin to life on long drives
What do you love the most about your Bronco?
– What I love most is how capable and confident the Bronco feels anywhere I take it. Whether it’s rough trails or long road trips, it just fits my lifestyle. It’s the kind of rig that makes you want to keep driving, keep exploring, and keep pushing farther.

Conclusion
This Bronco checks every single box—serious off-road capability, premium parts throughout, and the kind of practical upgrades that actually make sense for real-world use. Ryan didn’t just throw parts at it, he built something that’s equally at home crawling rocks and enjying fresh air or quietly cruising down the highway with the top on. That’s why this build earned a perfect 70 out of 70 points in our off-road build score.
