SUVs are a mainstay of overland vehicle builds due to their inherent cargo capacity, ground clearance, and available four-wheel drive systems. Trucks
Trucks are hugely popular overland platforms thanks to their rugged construction, immense customizability, and immense hauling capabilities. You don’t need the most expensive vehicle to start overlanding. With some creativity and elbow grease, budget-friendly platforms can be transformed into capable overland rigs. Older SUVs like the Toyota 4Runner, Isuzu Trooper, and Land Rover Discovery can often be found for cheap and make great overland builds.
